Rosemary Red Pepper Crackers


These savoury crackers are a taste explosion! They are wonderful any way you make them. Either as a cracker, a bread, croutons, with a topping or just on their own, they are great to have around all the time!



If you are using dried rosemary…either put it in a coffee grinder, a small blender or put it into the food processor first, to make the rosemary into more of a powder consistency so that it is not hard pieces in your crackers.




2 cups of coarsely ground flax seeds

2 cups of water

4 red peppers

3 carrots 5 cloves of garlic

1 ½ teaspoons of salt

A large sprig of fresh rosemary or 2 tablespoons of dried rosemary

A bunch of parsley




In a food processor, puree peppers, carrots, garlic, salt, rosemary and parsley.

In a separate bowl, mix ground flax seed with water and stir very well.

Add pureed pepper mixture and let sit for a bout 10 minutes. Spread mixture on teflex sheets evenly about a ¼ inch thick.

Dehydrate at 115 degrees for 6-8 hours. Flipping over the crackers and removing teflex sheets about halfway through.

Cut dried cracker sheets into desired sizes…don’t forget to use the trimmed off pieces for croutons! Use your imagination and enjoy!
